Hi all,

The Wednesday night net on the 146.895 could certainly be used as an Elmer Net.
We talked the other evening about starting a Tech. Net or Elmer Net and i guess we are not the only ones to see a need.
We will just take questions and answers along with comments. I think we have enough knowledgeable hams on the net to help out.

What you all think?

Subject: [SMCARA] New Ham Net

I was just thinking about the Tech class that just tested Saturday, We should start a beginner/new ham net for those who
recently (or not so recently) got their license. We could use (with permission of course) the PF (or maybe even 10m) repeater since it has quite a wide coverage area.
Things that we could do are just getting them used to talking the on the radio and with setting up a base station (antenna, procedures, courtesy on the radio, and even with upgrading)? Just a thought.

Allen,
