[SMCARA] 147.195 Repeater Info

Hi all,

The 147.195 N3PX repeater in Hollywood will be undergoing some changes this
month. 

As a result, it may be down or in test mode for days at a time.

This is in preparation to convert the 147.195 repeater to a Mega-Echolink
repeater for
southern Maryland.

When completed, it will the most powerful repeater in southern Maryland with
an
ERP of 400 watts! The TX coverage will be all of St. Mary's, Calvert,
Charles, Westmoreland and Dorchester counties as well as southern PG and AA,
and
most of King George.

HT listening will include all of St. Mary's, the southern two-thirds of
Calvert
and most of Westmoreland counties. Coverage maps are available on the N3PX

This change to an Echolink specific repeater and equipment upgrade has been
in
the planning stages for about a year (including input from many SMCARA
members). 

We're all very excited to finally see the project coming together.
