Many of the stations are up already, practicing.  I worked Oman, UAE And Saudi Arabia on ten meter RTTY earlier today.

Hi All,

In case you’d like to work a few contacts of the RTTY Contest that begins at 8:00 PM (Local) tonight.  

The exchange is the signal report (599 or 5NN), the CQ zone (05), and the State (MD).  So...  59905 MD

Keep your contacts short – Don’t repeat anything – if the other station didn’t get some info, they’ll ask for it.

Set a few macros with your call, your report, etc.  If you are uncomfortable making a contact, listen for a bit before you jump in.
