There has been a lot of rumor/innuendo floating about concerning the
future viability of the museum facility.  As Mark Twain said: "the
rumors of my demise are greatly exaggerated"!

The decision by the Navy to stop funding the museum has been delayed for
1 to 2 years and the board of directors have been successful in lining
up ongoing funding. The museum will become a "Naval Heritage Center", so
there is no plan to scrap the museum as such.

We are not out of the woods yet, but the future is much firmer now and
we should have a "home" for the foreseeable future.

Walt, W3GYT, is a member of the BoD of the museum and can probably
answer any questions you might have.  Walt, please chip in any comments!
