Looks interesting for those of us with different radio's, I have not 
played with it yet but will this weekend: CHIRP is a FREE 
cross-platform, cross-radio programming tool. It works on Windows and 
Linux (and MacOSX with a little work). It supports a growing list of 
radios across several manufacturers and allows transferring of memory 
contents between them.

CHIRP 0.1.12 was released today for Windows, Linux, and MacOS. Included 
are numerous bug fixes, support for several additional radios, and new 
features such as automatic downloading of data from sites like 
repeaterbook.com
