[SMCARA] SMCARA Swapfest - Thursday, 27 October

Folks,

  Please mark your calendars now and make plans to attend our annual fall
AMATEUR RADIO SWAPFEST!  This event, held in place of our regular
October meeting, will be held on Thursday, 27 October at the Naval Air
Museum.  Please note the new start time for this event only... SIX (6)
PM.  We will run this event for about 3 hours and plan to end it about 9
PM.

  Start going through your stash and plan to bring some treasures to sell,
swap or give away.  There is no charge for this event... just show up. 
Walt and I will be cooking up some hot dogs and burgers (also free) so
you can have something to munch on while looking at the goodies.

  We will need a few folks to arrive at 5:45 PM to help us set up some
tables.  The swapfest will be held in the main hall of the museum (you
can enter through the large roll-up door at the front).

  The desired types of equipment and/or sale items should be things
related to ham radio, e.g. radios, antennas, operating accessories,
computers, test equipment, cables, power supplies, ham books, etc.

  The only other rule is that, when we are done, nothing can be left in
the museum.  Any items brought into the museum have to leave the museum
- NO EXCEPTIONS.  We have to leave the museum hall exactly as we found
it when we start.

  So talk this event up everywhere you can.  Let's get a good turnout for
this event.  The hot dogs and burgers will be available (for free) until
they run out.

  I look forward to seeing all of you on the 27th.
