Bob,

Our class is being held in California, MD at the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter Day Saints building off of Old Rolling Road which runs between KMart
and Bestbuy. I am flexible on the frequencies but I choose them because
146.520 is a known simplex frequency and my ft-897 can put some power
behind the transmissions. For 147.420 that is the same frequency as Sam
Leach's echolink node so we can use echolink and my ft-8800r can handle
that just fine. Lastly the 146.640 is the club's repeater and my vx-8dr
should do well there. If you are out of the area and would like to help out
I can setup my ugly balun for 10,15,20 and 40 meters so if you have HF
capabilities then we can set something up by moving the ft-897 to HF and
not utilizing 146.520. Let me know.
