[SMCARA] Week 2 - Tech Class Report

Hi All,

Just wanted to update you on the Tech Class Status.  I let a couple of more people into the class as the first one was just an introduction.  I’ve now closed the class to further students as we are into the meat.  We now have 13 students working their ways towards their tickets.

Today we covered Basic Station Equipment, Frequencies, Wavelengths, Modes, Test Gear, Components, Schematics, Basic Circuits, Ohms Law, the Power Equation, and had a chance to share a few war stories... (hi hi)...  Tom Clarke stopped by to say hello and play with the club station.

We are on schedule to complete the class in time, get everyone tested, and have tickets in hand (or at least on the FCC database) before Field Day.
