Had some guys over to trim up a large oak tree and remove a nearly dead maple from my yard.  Things were going well until a large branch was trimmed, gravity kicked in, and a nylon guy rope between the branches former position and the ground with one end attached to my fence and the other attached to my new Challenger DX vertical was quickly pulled to the ground.  My challenger now has about a 30 degree bend, which I assume is not conducive to good resonance.

To minimize some of the pain, the bend is only in a single piece of aluminum and I’m hoping I can bend it back straight.  If not, I’ll be calling GAP to get a replacement tomorrow...  Needless to say, there will be no DX tonight...
