As you tune around the phone portion of the HF (non-WARC) bands, you’ll hear many stations participating in the CQ Worldwide WPX contest.

The purpose of this contest is to work as many stations with different prefixes that you can.  You can work US and DX stations.

The exchange is a signal report (59 for contest default) and a serial number.  

What a great way to spend a snow-day...
