Hi All,

I just checked the weather forecast for this weekend.  It looks to be Sunny and cool, but not cold.  In short, perfect weather for a Marathon and for Hams to support that race.  

How lucky for us that we have the opportunity to support the Lower Potomac River Marathon this coming Sunday (March 13th)...

You don't need a super-duper set-up, a hand-held or mobile 2 meter rig is more than sufficient.  Even if you don't have a radio, you can pair up with someone who does and help that way.  The race begins promptly at 7:15 and gets over around 12:30.  Since we need to be there an hour or two before the race it makes and early morning, but between the provided lunch and the gratitude of the runners and other people supporting the race, it is well worth it.  

I encourage you to contact Ray (KB3FWW) at Arbyone1 at verizon.net and get on his list - There is no such thing as too many helpers in this endeavor.
