Thanks to all who have offered to be on standby and suggestions for
activities, at this point I am think that we'll start out on the 64
repeater, maybe 195 in Hollywood pending Dan's (KB3UUN) girls receiving
their callsigns by Thursday and then we can try switching to 52 simplex
after a successful contact or two. After that depending on the bands Tom
(AB3IC) has set us up with the GOTA station and 4 different band antennas,
again I'm thinking 20 will be the place to be and I'll take Tom's (W4OKW)
suggestion to call around 14.270 and go from there.

Thanks again all and I'll send out another reminder as we get closer, also
have some handout material coming from ARRL so I hope it gets here in time!!

Also FANTASTIC field day, I would have to say my most enjoyable so far GREAT
job to everyone!!!!

Hi Mike,

Depending on the workload here, I will try to bring up the base station,
K3NAL. I can work 52 simplex, or the 64 and 39 repeaters and HF bands.
Look for you around 1500Z (1100 local). Where will you be located? 14270 is
a good spot. The lighthouse and IOTA guys hang there. There are a couple
of nets too - 14300 Maritime Net, 14332 YL Net and 14336 WAS Net.
On 17 there is the HF Pack freq of 18157.5 and listen for backpackers or if
you luck out, KG0AT, Steve and his two goats!

Have fun!

Hi Everybody,

I have the chance to demo HAM radio to a group of 6 to 11 year olds on
Thursday morning around 11am, if anyone would be available between then and
about 12 noon please let me know as I am hoping to do a repeater demo and
maybe one on 20m as well. Please let me know if you might be around the
radio and we can coordinate from there.

Also if you have any thoughts or suggestion on how to make this exciting and
fun please let me know I am open to any and all ideas and support.
