when it is, people to help set up, what number of stations we are running.
We are running 3 Alpha. (Field day designation- three operating positions and on
emergency power)
Band Filters: Signs will be positioned around the operating tables to explain
their use. (Pete: Who does this? Jan)
Aux power will be supplied through generators located outside the bingo hall.
Food: Pete (WA3UMY) and Walt (W3GYT) will shop for food and sodas for our
evening meal.
D-STAR will soon be down here. D-STAR users have a sharp upward curve. (Pete:
What is the sharp upward curve? Jan)
Pete will ask Gene Talley (N3NO) if he will put up information on the electronic
sign at the Hollywood Volunteer Fire Station.

County VIPs that visit our field day site. John Johnson is CG Auxiliary and ?
(Pete: I did not remember what else John does. Jan)
An email will go out to ask who is bringing a dish-to-pass so we have an idea of
what is offered for the picnic.
Set up time for Field Day is 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.. Start time is 2 p.m.
We will have a sign-in log for everyone so we know who to call and ask form

Dan Hatcher waded through the county red tape. He paid $15.00 for a permit, got
the permit for $40, now Dan needs an inspection because he is in a critical
zoning area. He went to MDEA at Charlotte Hall, “Oh, by the way it cost $112.”
The Dayton, OH, “Hamvention” report was presented. It was not well attended,
but a nice day. The Flea Market was distinctly different.
The August 2 Amateur Radio Training class will be held at the Leonardtown
library, from 8 p.m. until 10 p.m. SMCARA is recommending purchase of 5 extra

One of the instructors, Tom Shelton (AB3IC), needs help testing his Amateur

We need to have an email roster. The roster is to be put on the web sight by
