Tom. Lately we have been getting what I would refer to as SPAM.  I guess we
have the option of staying on the reflector if we want to hear each and
every bit of trivia, but I'm suggesting we don't have many controls on what
constitutes SPAM.  My guess is we need a house vehicle to pass on "official
club business" or items that impact everyone, and a separate communications
link for stuff for sale, contacts with Timbuktu, etc.  One persons
breathless put it on the air is another's SPAM. 

Be a good discussion item.

Please delete the forwarding history, which includes my email address,

My experience has been that you lose people when there is more than one
group.  Some stay on QTH.net and some go to the new one.  Dilution.
Unless there is a real problem, that moving will solve, I vote for
staying with QTH.net. 

One of the nice features of a moderated group like ours is the general
lack of "spam" since membership is controlled.  Good and bad features
are found on either.

If everyone likes the idea of Yahoo or Gmail group, we can try to make a
mass move and shut down the qth.net after a short transition.

Good question.  Also, should we consider using a Yahoo group for e-mail?
Much easier For individuals to add / remove themselves from the list.
