[SMCARA] General Upgrade Class & More

GENERAL UPGRADE CLASS
I currently have 13 people who have expressed an interest in the General Upgrade class beginning on August 2nd. If you would like to be added to the interest list (or if you want to be removed from the list) please let me know.
Here is the overview...
Prerequisite: Current Tech License
Cost: $25 – includes the ARRL Study Guide with CD (a $29.95 value) – if you already have THIS study guide – or if you can share a study guide (couples, etc.) – the class will be free.
First meeting: Leonardtown Library, 6:00 – 9:00 PM, August 2nd.
Length of Class: 7 weeks – always Tuesday evenings 6 to 9 – Last class on Sept. 13th
Location varies between Leonardtown and Lex. Park libraries.
Study Guides should be available at the club meeting on July 28th – monies due when picking up the study guide. You can also pick up the Study Guide at the first class meeting... Make checks out to “SMCARA”

EXTRA UPGRADE
It appears that the idea for an Extra Cohort Study Group isn’t going to be coming to fruition – not enough people interested and difficulty agreeing to a meeting time.
For anyone wanting to do a self-study to upgrade to Extra, I’ll have a number of ARRL Study Guides – with CD – available at the July 28th club meeting. Cost will be $25 and checks can be made out to “SMCARA”

I also have a few Tech Study guides – with CD – left over from the last Tech class. If you want one, I’ll have them at the club meeting for the same cost as above... Maybe you have a friend or loved one you’d like to help... First come first served.
