Hi Everyone,

Below is an email from the MDC SEC Jim Cross asking us (EMCOMM folks ARES /
RACES) to help support EMCOMM by using Winlink. It does not take a lot of
very expensive gear to participate in Winlink. Some things you already have
in your shacks. I have a gateway running now and will try to keep it running
24/7 so when you get a chance, send a email to the ASEC listed below.

You need a 2 meter rig, laptop or PC with Winlink software, a TNC or usb
soundcard and connecting cables. Your Winlink station should be as mobile /
portable as possible but Base stations are useful too.

My gateway is KB3FWW-10 on 145.750 simplex 1200 baud, located in Great
Mills. There is another gateway in the Northern part of the County,
W3SMD-10 also on 145.750.

If you need help, email me and I'll help you with the setup.

73,

Ray kb3fww
