Thanks, Mike!

This is the sort of thing that we need! It is great to see the younger
folks getting interested.

I started by building my first "Crystal Set" at age 11 and had my ticket
by 16 (K1AST). Do you suppose the newer generation might be just a tad
ahead of us?

Sorry I missed you as I only had a short window at K3NAL around 1100. I
look forward to the next one!

Hi All,

Just wanted to report in on what a success the demo was today, thanks to
Cal N3CAL and one of our newest hams Kaylee KB3WFA, we setup antennas,
tested voltages listened to various public service and weather
broadcasts and then made a call on 64 and with Cal's help and support
started what have been close to almost 1 1/2 hrs of QSO with the class.
I ended up being the event of the day which is why our times and
frequencies got pushed up a bit, we took a break and came back to have a
listen on HF mainly to WWV and then made contact with our star operator
Kaylee, when asked who wanted to talk to her on the radio I think every
hand went up and some even wanted a second turn, she handled all the
calls like a pro and I know that I owe her a world of thanks for making
the demo a true success.

Again thank you to all who offered suggestions, equipment and were
standing by the radio this morning to support this event, I do very much
appreciate it and it only reaffirms why this is such a great hobby, it
isn't the radios but the people who make it GREAT

PS. I'll forward some photos for the web site
