[SMCARA] SMCARA ham club meeting on Thursday, 27 January

Folks,

  I hope everyone is keeping warm during this very cold weather pattern.

  Just a reminder, the next monthly meeting of the St. Mary's County
Amateur Radio Association (SMCARA) will be held this coming Thursday
evening, 27 January 2011, beginning at 7:30 PM at the Naval Air Museum
in Lexington Park.

  The agenda for this meeting will include:

  - election of officers for the 2011 calendar year

  - discussion about changing the K3HKI 2-meter repeater 156.7 Hz PL tone
to another frequency to reduce the interference with the K3ERM repeater
in Frederick, Maryland

  - discussion about updating the ham radio display at the museum

  - Tom (W4OKW) will give a short presentation (with pictures) about his
recent travel to St. Lucia (J6) as a member of the 100 pound DXpedition

  Everyone is cordially invited to the meeting.  If you can, plan on
bringing a family member, friend or neighbor who might be interested in
the hobby... let them see what this hobby is all about.

  Again, the January meeting of the club will be held this coming Thursday
evening beginning at 7:30 PM at the Naval Air Museum.  Call on the
146.64 MHz repeater if you need directions.
