Pete, I have one. It works great but is manual therefore a bit slow. The resolution is excellent. I can bring it to work as soon as I return.
Cheers

Subject: [SMCARA] Anyone have a 35mm slide to digital (.jpeg) transfer unit?
Folks,
I have several hundred original Kodak color slides that I took years ago
of various hamshacks, the base MARS station, etc. that I am interested
in converting over to digital computer image files (preferably JPEG
format). Some of them I'd like to post on the club web site.
Does anyone have one of these units I might borrow/rent for a few days?
I've seen them from time to time on QVC and other sources but can't
locate one now. They are basically a device where you put the slide in
a slot and it scans the picture and generates a digital image. The
slides I have are all mounted in the standard cardboard mounts.
Please contact me via e-mail at [ petebutt at comfac.com ].
Thanks!
Pete (WA3UMY)
