[SMCARA] Challenges with CAT control and HRD

Having challenges with CAT control with the new IC-7000 and Vista when I
connect to Ham Radio Deluxe. Suspect the CAT cable and its driver.  Works
maybe for a few moments then the blue screen of death shows up and shuts me
down.

 

Any ideas other than the usual confirming baud rate, port number, etc?  I
get the Driver IRQL less or equal message on the blue screen when it shuts
me down.  User groups say probably the cable.  

 

Pete, did you ever get a CAT cable for your IC-7000?  Mine was a cable I
bought on line from ebay (China) with a Prolific driver. 

 

Thoughts before I give up on CAT control for the moment?
