[SMCARA] 146.64 Repeater - Tone update - action required by -YOU-

Greetings everyone.

I have activated the tone on the 146.64 repeater.  You must use a
PL tone of 146.2 Hz on the input (your transmit) when accessing
the 146.64 repeater.

The repeater also transmits a PL tone of 146.2 on the output (your
receive). You may optionally use this tone to control the squelch
on your receive.

Pete Butt (WA3UMY) and Tom Clarke (W4OKW) reprogrammed the PL Tone 
at the repeater to 146.2 this morning.

I turned the tone -OFF- this morning.  Presently, there is -NO- tone
on the repeater. Nada, Negative, Nil, none.

You can access the repeater without any tone at this time.

We plan to turn the tone *back on* Sunday, February 20th.
The tone at that time will be >>146.2 Hz<< (input and output).

In the interim, please go to your various hand helds, base stations, Marconi
spark gap transmitters, and other Radio Frequency emitting devices and 
update the PL tone now.

Pete and I are exploring options for those who still own radios without
PL capability.

Mike (N3KUN) please put an announcement on the repeater for the tone change.
