[SMCARA] RE: Repeater antenna test

Thanks to everyone that participated in the test of the new Prince Frederick

antenna tonight. There were a many people from STM that checked in with
booming

signals.

 

The repeater should give great mobile coverage to the northern part of the
Wash

beltway, east to nearly Delaware, south to King George and west to
Woodbridge.

 

Tonight we heard base stations from Dover and Wilmington in DE, Lancaster PA
and

Richmond VA. Of course, there were other base stations closer like Columbia,

Timonium and Montross VA.

 

The new repeater should be up in a few weeks and will have link capability

similar to the older SMLS linking system.

 

We'll provide a new report when the repeater actually gets on the air.
