[SMCARA] 146.64 repeater

Good idea, Ren.  We need to work up a proposal to see if the county can
spring for an autostart genset for the repeater site.  With the heavy
tree cover around the site, solar may not work so well. Although after
the storm, that may not be a problem anymore!

The repeater is a GE MASTR II and I will try to find out the standby
current draw and the transmit (max) current draw.  That will give us an
idea of the battery/panel/generator capacity needed. A factor for
lighting and the air conditioner is needed also.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Alright.  Enough is enough.  We SERIOUSLY (read as MUST) need to
fabricate a backup battery/solar charge/genset interconnect for the 64
repeater.  Every darn time when it rains/blows/snows/???? and we MUST
have that repeater up...IT POOPS THE BED!  We needed it and it failed
us...AGAIN!  I am willing to help with the solar and battery setup and
even the interconnects.  But whoever is going to do anything, it needs
to be done ASAP.  I have other observations from the storm that I will
post later.

Also anyone without power that can read this and needs to borrow a 5.5kw
genset, ice chests (the big white one, and other sizes,) or a 20" chain
saw call me at home today (240)725-0062.  If it goes to voicemail call
