That sounds like a good deal then, especially if it is cost competitive.
The only claim I ever made was due to a lightning strike two houses down
the street that came in the phone line and nuked my computer, 2 TVs, 2
VCRs, all the cheap phones (Bell phones survived) and (sob) my IC-746.
The insurance paid for all the consumer electronics and to ship the Icom
out to WA and fix it. The radio came back fixed, field changes installed
and aligned for around 400 bux.

According to the ARRL site - Antennas, towers, and rotators are covered
as well... Perhaps that is something that has been added.
I'd consider adding this stuff to my home-owners policy, but I have a
$1000 deductible with them and the ARRL policy has a $50 deductible...

Hi Tom,
I used to carry it, but found that my household policy from USAA covered
my stuff. Also the ARRL insurance did not cover antennas, so you might
check on that.

Hey All...
Does anyone have any experience with the ARRL Equipment Insurance Plan?
Costs looks good, and at face value the benefits seem decent - but there
is theory and there is real-life...

I'd really be interested in anyone who has had a claim and the
experiences with it....
