[SMCARA] Special SMCARA September meeting location change -- PLEASE READ

Hi Folks,

  Please join us this Thursday (23 September 2010) at 7:30 PM for our
monthly meeting of the St. Mary's County Amateur Radio Association
(SMCARA).  For our meeting this month, we will be touring the new ARES
communications facility at the St. Mary's County government underground
communications center in downtown Leonardtown and meeting some of our
local emergency communications officials.

  PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE IN MEETING LOCATION!  We will NOT be meeting at
the Naval Air Museum this month.  This month's meeting location is at
the underground emergency communications facility next to the Court
House in Leonardtown.  You can park in the above-ground parking lot next
to the two tall towers and come down the stairs to the underground
center location.

  Our host will be Ray (KB3FWW) and talk-in will be available should you
need it.

  I look forward to seeing all of you at this special meeting event.  Come
out and see where some of your tax dollars are being spent and get
familiar with our emergency communications capabilities.  You never know
when we will need this and Ray would be delighted to get more of you
updated on this capability.  Perhaps you may be able to man the station
and help out during an emergency some day.

  Again, the meeting will begin at 7:30 PM THIS Thursday but plan to
arrive a few minutes early to gain access to the facility.
