[SMCARA] More on: To tone or not to tone?

All:  I have received many inputs from you on this subject (both publically
and in private). Thus far, all comments have been in favor of turning -on-
the PL tone to the input of the repeater.

The repeater was tested this week for twenty four hours with a PL tone
(156.7 Hz) enabled on the input.  It was a successful test.  

I have since disabled the PL tone on the input to the repeater.  

You can continue to leave the PL tone enabled on your radio, it will have no
effect on the repeater.

We will put it to a vote at the next club meeting (October 27th at the
Aircraft Museum).  The results of that vote will determine if the tone will
be permanently enabled or not.
