[SMCARA] Tape Measure Beam Plans

Since a few folks expressed an interest Thursday night I wanted to forward
along the plans I used to construct my tape measure beam, just be careful
and watch the edges if you build one, I used tin snips to round the corners
and then a metal file to smooth them and planned to dip them to add a little
extra protection, I just need to find my can of stuff :)
 
If I can be of any help or support please let me know, this can be a fun and
cheap project that will yield a usable antenna for your HT, I wouldn't drive
it with more than 5 watts while holding it and probably would not go over 10
or 15 with it mounted outside.
 
If you get a chance to build one bring it to the net Tuesday night at 20:00
on 146.640 and let us know how it is working for you, I'm sure we can even
get a few simplex checks from around the area too.
