[SMCARA] VHF QSO Party - K8GP

All,

 

The ARRL VHF QSO Party started at 2 PM today and runs all day and all
evening tomorrow (until 2300).

 

There is a focus on trying to include as many FM stations in this contest as
possible (particularly Sunday afternoon and evening).

 

K8GP is on 146.55 from FM-19 and has a BIG signal (which I think is
directional, so you might have to wait for him to look this way).

 

All you need to give him is our grid square (FM-18).

 

If you also have 50, 220 or 440 MHz capabilities, he'll want to move you
there and work you on multiple bands.

 

This is a great time to get FM-19 and exercise your simplex capability.
You'll find the contesters on 146.49 and 146.55.they will probably avoid the
national calling frequency (.52).

 

Doug and his son (KJ4EOZ and KJ4ETE) were on the mountain earlier and will
be back tomorrow afternoon (Hopefully.after Manassas).
