All (my apologies for list duplications) --

The frequencies below are designated for emergency communications in support
of the earthquake in Haiti. Other frequencies may be designated as the
situation develops. Before you operate on HF frequencies, be sure to listen
carefully on either side of your intended frequency to ensure there are no
emergency nets.

Salvation Army Team Emergency Radio Network (SATERN) frequencies:
14.265 MHZ
7.265 MHZ
3.977MHz

IARU Region II Emergency Frequencies:
7.045 MHz (CW)
3.720 MHz

While not a designated emergency frequency, there is a Maritime Net
operating on 14.300 MHz that may be staying active in case of emergency
traffic.

Please stay away from these frequencies by 3-5 KHz on either side. Hams are
encouraged to monitor these frequencies, but do not check in unless you have
legitimate traffic for the net, you can relay a weak station not being
acknowledged by NCS -- or the NCS is soliciting check-ins with no traffic.
If you need to key down to tune your antenna, move 3-5 KHz away so your
tuning does not interfere with emergency nets. If your radio has VOX
operation, MAKE SURE YOUR VOX IS TURNED OFF (one of the greatest sources of
interference during emergency operations comes from stations who are
monitoring with their VOX turned on. The operator moves away from the radio
and a telephone, TV or conversation in the room keys the transmitter and
causes interference to emergency nets). See message from Steve Ewald
(WV1X), Supervisor, Field Organization Team at ARRL HQ below.
