[SMCARA] SMCARA Winter Pot Luck Dinner... Thank you!

Hi Folks,

  Just a quick note to say 'thank you' to everyone who was able to make it
to our annual winter pot luck dinner this past Saturday evening at the
Naval Air Museum.

  We had an excellent turn-out of folks and, without a doubt, the largest
variety of food selections ever... including multiple types of chili,
minced beef, fried chicken, chicken and dumplings, soup, vegetables,
baked beans, salads of all sorts, specialty breads and rolls, and a huge
variety of desserts plus other items that I can't even remember.  There
shouldn't have been anyone who went home hungry!

  I just received a disk of pictures, courtesy of Melissa (Boz's wife)
which I'll get posted on the club web site tomorrow (Monday) evening.

  I hope that everyone had a great time and enjoyed meeting each other,
especially our newer members and folks that traveled many miles to be
with us.  We even got a chance to talk (albeit briefly) to Tom Clarke,
W4OKW, who is participating in a DXpedition to St. Lucia this week from
the club amateur radio station at the museum.

  Our next club event will be the monthly meeting in January.  Mark your
calendars now for the 27th of January (meetings are held on the FOURTH
THURSDAY of each month) beginning at 7:30 PM in the board room of the
Naval Air Museum.  Everyone is welcome and we are planning to have a
presentation plus election of officers for the new year.  See you then!
