[SMCARA] ARRL MDC SET for October 2009

The SET information came out last week.  In a nut shell, the plan is to 
deploy ARES Teams (We don't have at this time) to requesting EOC's.  The 
team would actually drive to the requesting EOC and operate at that 
location, send and receive pre-formatted messages and return when secured.

Our EOC's ARES/RACES Room is down for maintenance.  A three year old plan to 
update the Radio Room just started last week.  The Contractor showed up and 
hacked all the hardlines on the first tower.  A death in the family (family 
company) sent them all back to their QTH.

So, as a team we can not take part in the event.  But, you emcomm ARES/RACES 
folks that want can operate from your QTH. Listen and contact as many folks 
as you can hear.  I'll post the frequency list soon.  I would suggest 
including K3HKI in your exchange.  More to follow.
