[SMCARA] SMCARA Holiday 'Pot Luck' dinner at the Naval Air Museum

Folks... we were just now able to secure a date for our annual St. Mary's
County Amateur Radio Association (SMCARA) winter dinner.  Plan now to
attend this FREE event open to all SMCARA members; their families; and
other local non-member hams & guests who would like to join us.  You do
NOT have to be a SMCARA member to attend!

Save the date:  Wednesday, December 16th at 6:00 PM

(this event takes the place of/replaces the November and December meetings)

We ask that you consider bringing something that you can share with the
rest of your friends... entrees, salads, deserts, etc. (You don't have to
bring anything but it sure helps increase the variety of selections!)  The
club will be providing sodas, coffee, condiments, and utensils.

This is planned to be a relaxing evening (casual clothes please!) where
you can share food, friendship, and enjoy the latest exhibits at the
premiere Naval Air Museum dedicated to flight testing.  You can even
operate the club station located at the museum!

Please contact Pete (WA3UMY) at 301-862-2214 and let him know what you
plan to bring (so we don't have all the same items).  I'll keep you posted
this week with updated listings of what folks are bringing.  So far, we've
got beef barbecue sandwiches.  What will you be bringing?

I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at this event.  We
want to provide a nice event where you have a chance to reconnect with
your friends and not have to worry about high costs or wearing fancy
clothes.  So   reserve the date (WEDNESDAY, 16 DECEMBER, 6 PM start) at the
NAVAL AIR MUSEUM on Maryland Route 235, 100' north of the Pegg Road
intersection and Gate 1 of the Naval Air Station.

We had a great turnout last year with a huge variety of food.  Let's see
if we can have a similar turnout of folks.
