[SMCARA] Bike Ride This Weekend

SMCARA,
 While the Charles County Amateur Radio Club (CCARC) was providing communications support for a bike ride in Indian Head last month, we were approached about a ride taking place this weekend. It is called the Potomac Heritage Bike Tour and is taking place this Sunday, 12 Oct at 7:00am. The ride is a fund-raiser for the hospital. The route will start in Charles County and wind its way into St Mary’s with the turn-around point at the Leonardtown Wharf. 

Since the ride extends into St Mary’s County, I wanted to put the invite out to anybody that would like to help.  The Net Control station will be located at the start/finish line in Charles County and we will be using a 2-meter repeater to cover the entire course. We could really use a ham for the Wharf location. 

If you would like to help out, please shoot me an email and we can talk in more detail about the event. This will be a great way to spend a Sunday morning, playing radio by the water and enjoying the nice fall weather!
