That is good news, although we still need to deal with the millions of
other "unintentional radiators" like CFL bulbs, the plethora of Part 15
devices, and who know what else that pollutes the spectrum.
I have a big noise source in my neighborhood that clobbers 146.76, and
146.67. I could hear it weakly on 775.
If you have some HF interference at home try pulling the power on your
wireless network. Some of those wireless routers are dirty.
There is some good news though, the 64 repeater is on the road to
recovery. We have isolated the source of the distortion and have
partially fixed it. It sounds much better.
Pete and I changed out the controller (that explains why it sounds
different) and discovered that the deviation was way down (about
0.8kHz). It is now near 4.0kHz and after we clean up the deviation pot,
the distortion should be gone. A full, end to end audio level
adjustment should bring it up to standard.
