[SMCARA] Piney Point Race

Hi Everyone,

Just a post event report for the Piney Point 26 mile Marathon.

I want to thank the following people for giving up half a day from the
family to help with the Race.

The Operators:

 This year was cold and very early.  The time change was an added pain.

Everything went well and we had no incidents or injuries.

I want to thank Boz kg3boz for being a good sport when I hung him with Net
Control, great job Richard.  Bill  kb3qaa and Mark kb3iju made "Q" cards and
hand-outs for the group. Very handy, thanks guys.  The Moto Guys were great,
up and down the course and cold as Popsicle's.  Craig and Lee burned up the
gas too, only they were warm inside the vehicle.  And Ron, who was last off
the course.  Ron trailed behind the last two runners, picked up mile markers
and made sure the Father / Son team had a happy ending.

The Red Cross from Charles County was on site again.  They had the W3SMH
(Comm Van) and the Cantina.  Thanks for driving all that way from Charles.

Something to look forward to in September - a 100 mile bike race, covering
three Counties.  More info to follow.

Last item, I have an unclaimed LG "T" shirt.  I think it belongs to Steve
KB3KOX.
