Hi Everyone,

As you are aware, I did not make the net.  About 1920 I called from my car
on 775, no problem.  When I called the net at 1930 on my HT I could not
bring up the repeater from my office.  I could bring up the 64, 39 and 443.3
repeaters, all of which were more distance then the 775 machine.

Long story short, the repeater information in memory on the HT was not
correct.

I did call on 64 and the simplex freq. 49, no response.

I don't know what happened with the net.

If someone picked up the ball and ran with it, great!  Please send me the
check-in information for my monthly report.

If not, that's my fault.  For future reference:

If the NCS (Net Control Station) does not call the net at the appointed
time, an ANCS (Alternate Net Control Station) should wait one minute and
call the net.

Who's the ANCS? The first station to call the net when the NCS fails to
start the net.

What do I say and do?

The same thing the NCS does.  Identify the net and yourself, take check-ins,
ask for comments, and close the net with a thank you to the repeater owner.
Record the information for your NCS.

Sorry I missed you guys Tuesday, I'll  give it a go again net week.
