 There is a Skywarn Basics 1 class scheduled for
Leonardtown. The information on the class is:

This is a good starting point for Sywarn and to
becoming a certified Skywarn Spotter. The class will
cover the basics of how Skywarn and the National
Weather Service operate, what you need to report and
how, and how to spot severe thunderstorms and
tornadoes.

In light of the recent severe weather, tornado watches
and warnings, this is a valuable class for all those
interested in St Mary’s County ARES/RACES activity.
