[SMCARA] ARES Net This Tuesday

All,
 The ARES Net last Tuesday went very well with a total
of seven check-ins. As we discussed on the net, if you
are interested in getting involved with the ARES team
I need to get you on the roster. Just send me an email
and I will respond with an electronic copy of the
registration form. You can simply fill out the form
and email it back to me.  My email address is:

The subject of conversation on this week’s net will be
Skywarn. This is a very timely subject since we had a
tornado warning in Charles County and a tornado watch
for St Mary’s County last week. 

The net will meet again this Tuesday at 6:30PM on the
146.640 repeater. All hams are encouraged to check-in
and participate in the net. If possible, please
check-in using emergency power or a portable set-up.
It’s always good practice to use the equipment and
configuration that you would have to utilize in a real
emergency communications situation
