With a little luck and a clear sky, we should be able to catch a
glimpse of the shuttle launch tonight. It is scheduled for liftoff at
9:35PM EST. Watch the launch on TV and once you know it has indeed
launched, wander outside and take a look in the southern to southeast
sky. It will probably be fairly low on the horizon, so try to find a
good spot with little obstructions. It will appear as a moderately
fast moving yellow light, kind of like a bright star. Take some
binoculars to get a closer look once you spot it. It is expected to
be visible as far North as Massachusetts so we have a pretty good shot
at seeing it here in Maryland.

Good luck!!
