[SMCARA] Lighthouse Event

All,
 CCARC has received permission to operate from the
Piney Point lighthouse this weekend and I would like
to invite anybody interested from St. Mary's to join
us. See attached email from the CCARC Activities
Director, Gene. I have some stuff going on Sat but
hope to make it by for a few hours to operate SSB QRP.
Feel free to give me a shout if you have any questions
or concerns..

On a different note, I am now officially a dues paying
member of SMCARA, I joined last month! Glad to belong
to the organization and look forward to working with a
great group of hams.

Hello Everyone,
Well it's a little short notice but I lined up the use
of Piney Point lighthouse for the International
Lighthouse / Lightship Weekend. It will be on August
19th from noon till 5pm. We chose that time because
the
museum will be open for those times and so will the
rest rooms, they also expect the heaviest amount of
visitors during those times. As far as equipment
goes all that is needed is an HF rig, antenna and a
small table to operate from. They do have power in the
lighthouse. All the rules, freq's, and any other
information about the event can be found at

identifier number is USA-601 for Piney point.
