I agree on the shortening of the cable, but let's wait until we
get it snaked (interesting choice of words, eh?) through the wall
to ensure enough slack for some limited movement of the cabinet.

Today I installed the wireless Internet antenna and transciever on the
roof and ran the cable inside the building. I also tried to drill a
hole through the ceiling beam for routing the coax and CAT5 cable, but I
was unable to get the ladder close enough to be comfortable due to
displays. I'm sure with two or more people, this would not be a
problem. I coiled up the CAT5 and tucked it away until this can be done.
I will not be in town tomorrow, but I left my tall ladder behind the
building if anyone wants to tackle drilling the hole and routing the
cables. Watch out for Mr. Black Snake who I almost tramped on while
walking around back! Last place I saw him was under the tree in between
the buildings. I don't know if he's living under there or what. Be
mindful of where you walk - he's a big one - at least 6 feet long!!
Another issue is the coax length. I was going to put a PL259 connector
on the bare coax, but there is a large amount of excess in coil. Should
we go ahead and shorten it to an appropriate length? I wanted to get a
consensus first. I vote "yes" for both the HF and the VHF/UHF feed.
Let's just leave enough slack for easy equipment hookup and a little
movement based on the station being in the corner.
We're getting very close!!
