[SMCARA] SMECO BPL "Tech Talk"

The St. Mary's County Technology Resource Committee is sponsoring a "Tech
Talk" about BPL in Southern Maryland.  This will include a presentation by
SMECO about the technology and their plans for implementing it in the
region.  I am sure you are all familiar with BPL and its potential effect on
Amateur communications.  I would encourage all radio amateurs in the area to
attend.  

>From the sound of this, SMECO may be testing the water for consumer interest
before they consider implementation.  Now is the time to make SMECO aware of
our concerns about BPL while they are in the early decision making process.
A good amateur presence at this meeting would send a clear message that we
are serious about the impact of BPL on HF communications.
