Evening folks.

Let me preface this again with weather is a funny animal and I hope she
turns out to sea and just falls apart but, better to be proactive than
reactive.

I propose that we start to consider check-out of local comms and how the
K3HKI net is going to be run. Legally, the net manager/county EO is Bob
Carter W5BTC but I again shall volunteer for Primary net controller. But
first, I am going to look for any and all volunteers for net
controllers/alternate net controllers for this event (if it happens) I will
more than likely be working MEPN/Navy MARS and any other liaisons as
directed by Bob so we will need as many folks that can work 2m/440/HF that
we can get our hands on. Again, you don't have to be a General or better to
be a net control. Just someone that has a license PERIOD, a single and or
dual band radio with durable power (backup batteries/gen/???) and can handle
a slot as net control. We can fill the HF slots as needed.

Next thing to be thinking of. primary/alternate frequencies.

K3HKI is the primary repeater for the county. Which others will we be
using. What simplex freq? Alternate HF freqs? Bob you have any guidance?
Anyone have any suggestions?

St. Mary's county E-net: I am going to bring the net up daily starting
Monday (or not depending on what track Irene takes over the weekend). I
will be calling it up at 1830 on the 64 machine. so please check in. Not
only do we need ya, its nice to hear yer voice on the machine. Just say HI!
What else, I know that I am probably missing a few things but hoping the
group will add to this as needed.

I know a few of you are thinking im "chicken little" and I really do hope
that I am but in the odd chance that I am not, again its better to have a
plan than go into this without a bloody clue QSL?

Any discussions?
