Note that the Amish 100 begins and ends at St. Mary's College this year, not
at CSM. Hopefully .64 will be on the new tower by then because we will need
the coverage!
I would like to try doing APRS this year to track some of the vehicles. I
am going to put together an map that includes the routes and all the stops.
If anyone has APRS gear that they would like to use during the event, please
let me know.
Who is coordinating the effort this year? I know Barry has done it in the
past.
73!

Subject: [SMCARA] Amish 100 bike race
Greetings everyone.
David N3YZU reminded me tonight over on the St. Mary's County E-NET tonight
you know..."that" 6:30pm Tuesday night net over on the 195 repeater,
<wink-wink> <nudge-nudge> but I digress.....
David tells me that the Amish 100 is on for this year. The usual sponsors
aren't doing it but they (who ever the sponsors are) still need our support
for the race. I did it last year. I enjoyed doing the support. I was beat
but it was worth it.
The race is scheduled for 2 October and anyone interested in volunteering
please contact David N3YZU direct at N3YZU at yahoo.com or catch him on the
air.
Keep an eye on Frances and an ear on the nets.
