Hello everyone:

I hope this e-mail finds you all doing well.
Just a quick update:

I have received many e-mails from radio clubs, amateurs, etc, who
would like to connect and address the 9/11 Commemorative Net this
year.

With the continuing help of Lee N2LEE, an official website has now
been placed online to assist individuals with information.
http://www.911net.org/

As most of you know, the "N2LEN" repeater has been recently taken off
the air due to personal reasons.

Ken K2MAK has graciously offered his repeater system located in
N.Y.C. as the main official Internet link for the 9/11 Net for the
Greater New York City Metropolitan Area!

The transmitter is located on top the Empire State Building.
The repeater is now putting out 25 watts and coverage is fantastic
from anywhere in N.Y.C. and surrounding suburbs.
The repeater output FREQ is: 448.275 PL 136.5
The RX FREQ is 443.275
In the future this machine will be greatly improved to provide an
even greater coverage footprint.

You will be able to connect to Echolink from that machine in the next
few days.

Hope to hear everyone on the 9/11 Net.

If you have any further questions regarding the 9/11 Net, please feel
free to contact me anytime.

I will be traveling to N.Y.C. on September 9th for my Internet
linking presentation at HOSARC.
Here is that information for those individuals who may want to attend.

Hope you all had a relaxing summer, even with all the rain.

Best 73,
Len N2LEN

Meetings have returned again and our next meeting will be on
Tuesday September 9 at 8:00 PM at the Hall of Science
cafeteria. Remember do not enter through the museum but
through the science playground. We are honored to have
as our guest speaker Len Signoretti Jr, N2LEN, of Brooklyn, NY.
Len is this year's Hudson Division awards winner for Technical
Achievement. The specific achievement Len was recognized for
was the unique Echolink repeater/internet linking system he has
implemented, one of the first in the New York City area.

His website is
