Hi Folks,

  This is a meeting reminder!

The October meeting of the St. Mary's County Amateur
Radio Association will be held this coming Thursday
evening beginning at 7:30 PM at the Navy Test & Evaluation
Museum. This location is for this meeting only! The
new Lexington Park library is still not open for meetings
but we are scheduled to have our combined November/December
meeting there as planned.

The T&E museum is located on the northbound side of
Rt. 235, 150' north of the gate 1 entrance/exit to the
Naval Air Station. Please use caution in entering and
exiting this location due to the traffic. Enter the
museum and the conference room is located near the rear
of the building on the right. If you have any difficulties
in finding the museum, try a call on the 146.64 MHz 2-meter
repeater... I am sure someone will be able to assist.

Due to work committments, I will not be present at the
meeting but Tom Clarke, W4OKW, our vice-president, will
be running the meeting. Please consider attending the
meeting... Tom will have a good presentation for you!

The WA3UMY 443.05 MHz repeater Internet Repeater Linking
Project (IRLP) system has undergone some small changes in
operating codes due to the rapid growth. The total number
of repeaters world-wide now accessible through IRLP stands
at over 640.

To connect to the IRLP system, just enter BXXXX, where you
enter the new 4-digit codes for the desired repeater. To
disconnect, enter B73. For complete information on the system
operation and changes, point your web browser to:

           http://www.qsl.net/wa3umy

and then select the IRLP link on the left side of the screen.
