Apologies if you received this more than once.
You're invited to check out www.etskywarn.net which is the new home page for
East Tennessee SKYWARN.
The site is still under construction, but there are several pages up for you
to look at, one being the F.A.Q.s and another for online spotter
submissions, which I hope will be a major contributor to the success of the
web site.
Users who are unable to get on the radio or non-amateurs who have had
spotter training, or people who would like to submit a report are invited to
send in an "E-Report" which currently is sent only to myself and then
forwarded to the NWS later on. However in the next few weeks I'll have it
set to send email directly to the NWS as well as to the NCS stations who are
calling the nets.
There are also a couple of mailing lists to join under the "Email" page.
One email list is for receiving-only of NWS weather bulletins and spotter
reports submitted in real-time, so when the NWS Weather Radio goes off you
should get the same warning in your email box. The service is offered for
free and all you have to do is email the webmaster for joining. The other
mailing list is a discussion group on ETSKYWARN and SKYWARN nets in general.
Again the site is still under construction, and more information will be
added as I have time to work on it. If you have any images of storms, any
links of interest, or question/comments about the site, please email me at
[email protected].
Thanks for your time. This is the only notice I'll send out. Again I
apologize if you received this more than once as I sent to several mailing
lists that you may be subscribed to.
