I'm thinking you might have some Ham Radio guys who are interested in this....
I am looking to Recycle a Gates BC1T transmitter.... That's the one with the tube audio section as opposed to the BC1G which was solid state. It was on 1480 Khz. 3 of the four final tubes look to be intact, although they are Chinese and
look a lot more flimsy than the ones I remember. It has some damage to the coil in the top and lots of miscellaneous rewiring
There's also one of the first all solid state AM's, the Harris MW1, not 1A. It's grey. It will come up to 250 watts on the output meter, but as soon as any modulation is applied the power drops like a stone. All the modules seem to be
present and of course the blower motor is shot.
When they remodeled the building, they put in a smallish door which is partly blocked by the phasor cabinet, so getting them out intact may be impossible. They are disconnected and dusty.
The location is easily accessed with any truck in Pueblo Colorado.
If anyone has suggestions other than finding a recycler they would be appreciated. Just drop me an e-mail:
