HELLO EVERYONE!

Thank you for using SkyHubLink, and NOW, we need 4 VOLUNTEERS to help with the roof replace project.  It is a SMALL approximately 10x12 roof at the Baculite site.  The roof is in great need of repair.   Many of you have offered to help if needed!  We need to protect the equipment inside, which consists of 2 repeaters on SkyHubLink and another ham group.  NOW we need the help.  It is down in Pueblo at the site, see information below.  Gary and Earl are not capable of completing the work needed but will be there to direct, cut materials and direct.  And now, those of you who have stated “if you ever need anything let us know”, well, we are letting you know!  😊

Baculite roof replacement is targeted for Sat, June 10…weather permitting. We will visit Home Depot Sat June 3 to talk with the metal roof expert and place an order for items not in stock. We will purchase all in-stock materials tomorrow. In addition to trying for 10% discount, I will negotiate with HD for free delivery on Friday June 9, since that’s one of our obstacles. Good news is that less hard work is involved. We will strip asphalt roofing, clearing the deck, but NOT replacing it. Instead, we will attach the new plywood over the old deck with longer screws and construction adhesive. This will add a few dollars to the project, but make it much EASIER and SAFER for the labor party.

As of 1430 today, no manpower volunteers yet. Fingers crossed, hihi.
