I will be happy to come up and assist with this project.   If asked nicely (kidding) I will do tower work as well, including confirming the hardline is good and connectors.    Please keep me in the loop on this.

Good Evening Everyone,

SkyHubLink will be supporting the 2023 Children's Hospital Bicycle
Fundraiser with Communications Infrastructure.

This 2-day bike race occurs on JULY 15 and JULY 16th 2023 in the heart
of the Rocky Mountains spanning between Copper Mountain, Leadville,
Minturn, Vail, Breckenridge, Keystone, and beyond.

They are looking for volunteers with a HAM radio license and ham
equipment.  If you are selected, accommodations will be provided for
the duration of the event. If you are interested in volunteering,
please contact the HAM Supervisor CHRISTAN NORRIS, W0CDN at
w0cdn@comcast.net, and also put in an application here at the
Children's Hospital website :
https://www.supportchildrenscolorado.org/courage-classic/volunteer-at-the-courage-classic/
( You can skip where it asks for donation to begin your volunteer application)

- UHF / VHF Mobile with HIGH GAIN antenna, and a way to mount stuff to vehicles
- APRS Preferred but not required
- Good Communications and traffic Relay skills

As a separate thing, If you are looking to help out SkyHubLink with
the Communications Infrastructure, there is a LOT of work to do on our
side. Here is what we have to get done between now and July 15th.

1. REVAMP the Vail repeater with a new High Power repeater and
antenna. Need someone who is willing to drive us up to the top of Vail
Ski resort in an easy-access road. ( Mid to Late June on a weekend )
2. BUCKEYE PEAK PORTABLE SOLAR REPEATER, possibly need help with
construction or deployment of this repeater, will occur sometime the
week of July 10th. DEPLOYMENT WILL BE 4x4 ROAD followed by a 1 MILE
HIKE AT 12,000 FEET !!
3. Copper Mountain Deployable Repeater - Building and Deploying a
portable repeater at the top of Copper Mountain Ski Patrol
Headquarters
4. RF Links - All of these repeaters will be linked together through
node radios, RF links, etc.
5. VIDEO - It would be nice for SkyHub to have some of this
documented, so anyone who might want to help video stuff could be
useful.

If you are interested in volunteering for the communications
infrastructure for the event, please e-mail w0sky at 73w0sky@gmail.com
with the subject line CC2023 INFRASTRUCTURE and let me know how you
would like to help. I will get back as soon as possible but am very
busy.

This is gonna be a lot of work but a super exciting event and
hopefully this year the communications to support a massive event
through some of the Deepest canyons of colorado will be seamless!
